The operator

Hi, my name is Alex - and I’m not a career consultant. I have never worked at a traditional, big four agency, and I do not sell abstract theories.

I am an operator. I have spent most of the last decade in the internal operations engines of some of Berlin’s fastest-growing tech companies and global industry leaders. I have designed systems, observed them succeed or fail, fixed them and learned some harsh lessons along the way.

Through NB Tactical Consulting, I work directly with founders, COOs, and executive teams to install the vital management infrastructure required to gain or restore the operational speed you need to keep scaling.

I called it tactical as opposed to strategy consulting, because I’m in the trenches with you, with my sleeves rolled up, doing rather than preaching. No deliverable is ever a slide deck (unless you really want one.)

My Approach

I work in a highly collaborative style, closely involving the operations team that will have to live with whatever we come up with.

Complex ideas simplified

I am Lean/Six-sigma certified but for the purposes of high-growth startups, I have adapted these methodologies into simple, practical solutions.

Lasting impact

I aim to make myself redundant over the course of the project so you don’t have to call me again next year.
